About Eleonora Guadagnin

Eleonora Guadagnin is the founder and CEO of RAREly Solutions.

In 2016, Eleonora earned her PhD in Veterinary Sciences from the University of Padova, Italy, through a joint collaboration with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the USA. During her time at the NIH, she focused on studying transcriptional changes related to the progression of congenital muscular dystrophies. Her research aimed to identify gene expression patterns that could serve as critical intervention points and therapeutic targets.

After completing her PhD, Eleonora pursued a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. There, she investigated the role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in maintaining muscle mass during disease states, trauma, and the onset of fibrosis. This work paved the way for her tenure at Moderna, where she joined the Rare Diseases Department in 2019. At Moderna, Eleonora conceived and developed program strategies, and evaluated new therapeutic targets and applications for metabolic liver disorders, as well as cardiovascular and pulmonary programs at the discovery and preclinical stages.

Originally from Portogruaro in the province of Venice, Italy, Eleonora currently resides and works in Boston, MA.
